Cooking chicken pie in a pot:

We clear the onion from the husk and use a knife to chop it as finely as possible. The smaller you chop, the better. I wash the carrot under running water and a knife (not a grater!), Cut it into small cubes. We do the same operations with potatoes: wash, peel and cut into 1x1 cm cubes. We wash the mushrooms and cut them into cubes too. We turn on the oven and set the temperature to 200 degrees, let it heat up.

Step 2: stew the vegetables.

We put the pan on the fire, put butter in it and wait until it melts. Then put the chopped potatoes, onions and carrots into the pan. Cover and simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes, not forgetting to stir occasionally. After 10-12 minutes, add mushrooms to the pan, add flour, mix. In another minute - we pour milk and chicken broth to vegetables. Mix again. After 2 minutes of quenching - pour in cognac. Then add chopped chicken, peas, chopped thyme, sage and parsley to the pan. Salt and pepper to taste. We stew this whole mixture for another 10 minutes.

Step 3: bake the cake.

After stewing vegetables with meat - carefully put it in pots. Then we take out the chilled puff pastry from the packaging, cover each pot, fix on the sides. We need the maximum tightness of the pot precisely along its entire circumference. Required make a puncture in the middle of the “test” cover. Break the egg and separate the yolk from the protein. Brush the “lids” with the yolk and put the pots in the oven, which by then should have been heated. Add the temperature to 200 degrees and bake for 10 minutes. Then we cover each pot with foil and keep them in the oven for another 20-25 minutes.

Step 4: serve to the table.

As soon as our cake is ready, we take the pots out of the oven, put on a tray and serve. Alternatively, you can put the contents of the pots on plates - but then the meaning of the cake is lost. Therefore, it is best to use the dish from the pots. Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- - It is advisable to have boiled chicken meat in hand before cooking this dish. It can be prepared in advance, while boiling the chicken carcass. This will produce two ingredients - meat and broth.

- - It is advisable to choose fresh vegetables.

- - Instead of mushrooms, you can take any other mushrooms. This will not spoil the taste of the dish.
