Rice with baked beef meatballs

I cut a small onion and a smaller onion and mixed it with minced meat, egg, crushed garlic, breadcrumbs to bind the composition, salt and pepper.

I formed small meatballs and placed them on a plate.

I cut half of the onion and the pepper into small pieces and I hardened them a little in olive oil, just to soften them, I added the pork cut into smaller cubes and then the washed rice.

I adjusted the salt and added a curry powder and a paprika powder.

I put out the fire and placed the meatballs over the rice, making a little room in the composition.

I put a cup of water everywhere and put it in the oven at 170 g.

After half an hour I added another cup of water in which I diluted the tomato paste.

I left it until all the water was absorbed and the rice gained consistency.

I served with pickles: cucumbers, cauliflower and onions (made by my mother ... a treat)

Baked beef with rice

A recipe taken from mothballs, from 2006 to be exact :) a recipe that I gladly share with you.

  • 1kg beef (pulp),
  • 2-3 onions,
  • 2 carrots,
  • 1 pepper or donut,
  • 1 cup rice,

We clean the carrot and the peppers and cut them into cubes, we chop the onion finely.

Cook the onion, pepper, carrot, add the meat cut into small pieces.

Allow to brown then add water, a bay leaf, spices and simmer for 1 hour. When the meat is cooked, add the rice. Add more water until it is completely covered and put it in the oven over low heat to reduce. If necessary, add more water. I also put some peas in the end.

Beans and Rice Meatballs

Let the beans in the evening soak until morning and the next day boil them in hot water with a pinch of salt. Let it boil for 2-3 minutes and throw the first water. We boil it again with another water.

Peel the carrot, parsley and onion. We put them through a large grater and add them to the pot in which the beans boil together with the bay leaves and 1 teaspoon of salt. Meanwhile, boil the 100 gr of rice separately. We soak the slice of bread in cold water.

When the beans are cooked, drain the juice and pass it through the meat grinder together with the boiled rice and the slice of bread soaked and pressed well. Then add thyme, salt, pepper to taste, chopped green parsley and crushed garlic. Knead the composition well, form meatballs that you put in flour and then fry them in hot oil.

This recipe can be prepared with pumpkin or eggplant or from a combination of pumpkin and eggplant, depending on your preferences.

How to prepare meatballs with baked potatoes

First prepare the meatballs. Soak the bread slice in water. In a large bowl put the meat, egg, onion and garlic given by the small grater, spices, greens and then bread squeezed very well by water. Mix well to blend the ingredients well and set aside to rest.

Meanwhile, clean and cut the potatoes into cubes and turn on the oven at 200 ° C. Grease a 22 & # 21530 cm tray with the two tablespoons of oil and place the potatoes. Then form the meatballs, a little smaller than a walnut, and place them over the potatoes.

Cover the tray with a lid or aluminum foil and place in the oven for 20 minutes.

Now you can also prepare the sauce. Mix the cream, ketcup (or whatever you chose to use), salt, pepper and paprika in a bowl. I like it more with barbecue sauce but it comes out just as good with ketchup or tomato paste. Mix well and thin with water.

After 20 minutes, remove the tray from the oven and spread the sauce on top.

Put the dish back in the oven for another 15-20 minutes or until the food is nicely browned. When ready, sprinkle with fresh parsley or dill, if you like. Eat it hot, with your favorite salad. Good appetite!

Fasting meatballs from potatoes and rice - recipe


  • 2 white potatoes
  • 50 g of round rice
  • 1 onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 30 ml of oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 bunch of green parsley

Method of preparation

Wash the potatoes and boil them in their skins. They will be much tastier than peeled boiled ones.

After they have cooled, remove the skin and pass with a puree tool or a fork.

Wash the rice and boil it with 150 ml of water. Add a little salt. After boiling, allow to cool.

While the rice is boiling, peel the onion and garlic. Finely chop the onion and sauté it in a little oil until it becomes transparent.

When the mashed potatoes and boiled rice have cooled, mix all the ingredients in a bowl, including finely crushed garlic, salt, pepper, paprika and finely chopped parsley.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Line the oven tray with oil and baking paper.

If the composition of the meatballs is soft, you can add 1 tablespoon of flour.

Moisten your hands in water and shape the composition into balls, giving them the appearance of round or oval meatballs, as desired. Meats can be smaller or larger.

After filling the tray, place it in the hot oven and let the meatballs bake for 25 minutes. After this interval you will have to turn them with a spoon.

Let them brown on the other side for a quarter of an hour, then remove them with a spatula on a plate.

Allow to cool, then serve. They are just as good and warm and cold.

They can be served as such, with a salad of vegetables or greens, or with a dish of mushrooms or vegetables.
